Commonwealth

Material welfare, responsible stewardship, economic support and practical care within the community.

Acts 2:44–47 and 4:32–35 describe a community in which possessions never become indifference to need. 2 Corinthians 8–9 adds voluntary generosity, proportion, equality of burden and cheerful giving.

Commonwealth makes belonging economically visible. Its aim is not dependency: it is that no citizen is abandoned, and that receiving help becomes a route back to productive contribution wherever possible. It is a ministry of care, never a promise of financial return.
